Ajman: A 19-year-old visitor from Pakistan has been missing from Ajman since November 20, his uncle told Gulf News on Wednesday.
Mohammad Abdullah, also known as Usman, left the apartment he was staying in the industrial area of Ajman early morning that day without a word, said his paternal uncle, Mohammad Ashraf.
Ashraf said they have registered a missing person complaint with the police.
“He wasn’t upset and there had been no quarrels. Usman is a very social and friendly young man. He was visiting us here from Pakistan for the second time. He doesn’t know anyone here well. We checked with all our sources, the police, and hospitals but there’s no sign of him. His father and I are very concerned,” said Ashraf, who works as a salesman in Ajman.
“Usman’s mobile phone and SIM card fell in the water a day or two before he disappeared so he has no local number here. We went to the industrial area and the car garages and workshops asking people if they had seen him. We showed people his picture. His father, Mohammad Aslam, works in a car spare parts business, so Usman would sometimes visit the area with his father.”
Ashraf said Usman is the only brother of four sisters in Pakistan and had come to the UAE to visit his father and uncle and also to look into employment options here.
Ajman Police confirmed to Gulf News on Thursday that they received the missing report from the family and they are in touch with them.
Police are investigating the case and have posted the picture of the missing youth on their social media channels asking people to help them locate the missing youth.
