Rahul Gandhi comes up with another Gabbar Singh jibe, questions PM Modi on his way of treatment to farmers.
Rahul Gandhi on Thursday addressed the issues plaguing the farmers of the country in his 9th question to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The question was part of Congress leader’s social media campaign where he poses a question a day to highlight the failures of BJP in the run-up to the assembly elections in the Gujarat.
Rahul Gandhi who has been attacking the PM over various issues in “a question a day” series on Twitter, used a similar tag line — ‘Kheti Par Gabbar Singh Ki Maar’. The Congress leader questioned the prime minister on farmers’ woes and asked him about his step-motherly treatment towards farmers.
Gandhi said the agrarian society was deprived of crop insurance. He also alleged that farmers did not get right prices and the government failed to wave off the loan.
On Wednesday, Rahul had addressed the issues of rampant cases of child malnourishment, poor infant mortality rate and the ailing health services in the state as part of his 8th question.
In the seventh question, posted on Tuesday, the Congress leader grilled the PM on the issue of price rise and accused the BJP of being a government for the rich.
The campaign began on November 29, with Rahul’s Twitter handle attacking the Modi government for its failure to fulfill its 2012 promise of providing housing to 50 lakh people.
As Congress communication department in charge, Randeep Surjewala had said Rahul would pose a question to the PM Modi every day to Highlight BJP governments 22 years misrule in Gujarat. The Congress vice president has questioned about the favorable treatment given to private electricity generation companies at the cost of the public sector, expensive education, Lack of women safety, Health issues and unemployment in Gujarat.
