A major encounter happened in the late night ended up today with killing two Pakistani terrorists at Handwara in Jammu & Kashmir. The operation has been conducted by a joined team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, RR, and CRPF.
This comes even as two terrorists were killed and one militant was injured in an encounter with security forces in Bomai of Jammu Kashmir. The injured terrorist was captured. It has been learned that the encounter began last night.
The search operations are still underway, according to reports. The identity of the terrorists has not yet been confirmed. The firing has been stopped for now but the troops of 92 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) along with 22 Rashtriya Rifles and the state police are carrying out a search operation in the area.
This came in the wake three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, including two Pakistanis, allegedly responsible for carrying out an attack on Amarnath pilgrims in July this year, were killed in an encounter in South Kashmir on December 5.
