On Wednesday, The Election Commission said it will examine Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s TV interview to a Gujarati channel after allegations that it violated the model code of conduct.
Earlier, the BJP filed three complaints+ with the poll panel over the interview that was aired on Gujarat Samachar TV. The BJP had claimed the interview constitutes poll campaigning, which isn’t allowed 48 hours before the elections.
The second and last phase of the Gujarat polls will be held on Thursday.
In his interview, Rahul said that PM Modi was targeting Manmohan Singh while evading key issues concerning the people.
