A 19-year-old girl was raped by her relative. The latter also recorded the act on the camera and tried to blackmail her though it. When the girl refused to give in to his demands, the accused allegedly shared the clip with one of her acquaintance. However, the girl approached the police. The accused is yet to be arrested
According to Ashoka Garden police, a few months ago, the victim met accused Amit Verma (26) at a private function.
While the victim is studying in Bhopal, Verma lives in Pilibhit district of UP. He visited the city on September 4 and stayed in a hotel in Ashoka Garden area.
He invited the unsuspecting girl to his hotel room. As he was a relative, she did not doubt his intentions. Once in the room, the accused raped the hapless girl and even clicked photographs of the act.
He then started using the video to blackmail her. When she refused to budge, he sent the video to a friend of girl’s family, who shared it with victim’s father.
Victim’s father approached Narsinghpur police where the case was filed against Verma. The diary has now been transferred to Ashoka Garden police.
Minor raped by neighbour In another incident, a minor girl has filed a complaint of rape against a man living in her locality.
According to police, the victim lives in area under the MP Nagar police. In the complaint, she said that the accused, identified as neighbour Karan (20) barged into her house when her parents had gone out for work. Finding her alone, he not only raped her but also threatened her against revealing it to anyone. When the girl was unable to bear the ordeal anymore, she shared it with her mother on Friday. The woman immediately took her to the police station following which a case was filed. The accused has been arrested.
Girl’s rape filmed, blackmailed for a year
In another incident a 22-year-old girl has accused a man of not only rape but also of blackmailing her for the last one year by clicking pictures of the act. The accused has been arrested. The victim, accompanied by her mother reached Piplani police station on Friday to lodge a case.
She told the police that she worked in a private company. Accused Waseem Qureshi (26) was her colleague. They soon became good friends. On December 15, 2016, Qureshi offered to drop her home after office. However, he took her to his house and raped her. He also filmed the act and repeatedly forced her to give in to his demands by threatening to make the video viral. Fearing social ostracism, she kept on giving in to his demands. However, after a year, she mustered courage and approached the Piplani police.
