Very special photos of Manushi Chhillar, the recently crowned Miss World

Our very own Manushi Chhillar was crowned as Miss World last month. Here are some beautiful photos of the gorgeous beauty.

Indian model and beauty pageant holder Manushi Chhillar was crowned Miss World 2017 on November 18, 2017. Prior to this, she was crowned Femina Miss India 2017 on June 25, 2017. Chhillar is the sixth Indian beauty to have won the title, actress Priyanka Chopra to have won the title last in the year 2000.

Manushi Chhillar was crowned the 54th Femina Miss India World 2017 by the outgoing Femina Miss India World 2016 Priyadarshini Chatterjee at the finale event held in at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on June 25, 2017, Sunday. She represented her home-state Haryana as the Miss India Haryana 2017 at the Femina Miss India 2017 and competed with 29 other contestants from different Indian states.

Chhillar is one of the very few highly qualified Miss India winners who were medical students during their reign, like Yasmin Daji – Miss Universe 1966-3rd Runner Up, Reita Faria – Miss World 1966, Kalpana Pandit-dethroned Femina Miss India 1989, Lakshmi Pandit-dethroned Femina Miss India 2004 and Pooja Chitgopekar – Miss Earth – Air 2007. She considers Reita Faria – Miss World 1966, who was the first Indian and Asian to win the Miss World crown, as her role model.

The answer that paved her way to victory was the final question about “The lesson they would take back after spending a month with 30 contestants” in the final of Femina Miss India 2017 to which she answered “Throughout the journey I had a vision and with this came a belief, I can change the world.”
