Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan made the demand of Rs 7340 crore in relief fund over the long term for Cyclone-hit areas from the center on Tuesday.

Kerala govt also sought Rs 1200 crore as an emergency relief and Rs 422 crore under the National Disaster Management guidelines.
Modi said that he will consider the requests of the state.
Reiterating the Union government’s commitment to locate and rescue all fishermen missing at sea in Cyclone Ockhi, Modi said that all efforts will be taken to provide assistance to the community.
Striking a personal tone, the PM said his presence at the affected village was a testimony to the fact that the government was with the community at this juncture of grief and loss.
