Rahul Gandhi to reinvent Congress with millennials?

It has been a while since the Congress Party made any real changes. Days after he took over as the President of the Congress, Rahul Gandhi is looking into various changes he can incorporate into the party. Rahul Gandhi, buoyed by the performance of young leaders in the Gujarat assembly elections, is expected to include millennials into his core team.

The names of Randeep Surjewala, who currently is in charge of the Congress’ media cell and Ajay Maken, Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president, are being floated for the post of Rahul’s political secretary.

Furthermore, certain senior Congress leaders may be phased out as well. The core team that used to work with the previous Congress President Sonia Gandhi might not remain at the current posts they hold. Some of the names that are floating around are party veteran Rajya Sabha Member BK Hariprasad and senior Congress leader Ambika Soni, who is currently the Punjab in-charge and has not been keeping well.

Other names even include the names of Mallikarjun Kharge and Ghulam Nabi Azad, who have often always been seen by Sonia Gandhi’s side.
