Dia Mirza about use of sanitary napkins during periods
Dia Mirza, who has been appointed at the UN goodwill ambassador from India, recently made quite a few surprising revelations. The actress shared in a recent interview that she doesn’t use sanitary pads during periods.
Recently, she confessed that she doesn’t use Sanitary napkins on her periods and the only reason she said was, “Harmful to Environment”. The actress said, “The sanitary napkins and diapers which we use pollute the whole environment and the main reason is ‘Plastic’.
I stopped using napkins long back due to this reason. As an actor when I say this, it really means something, because we are the ones who endorse napkins too. Whenever I get an offer to endorse napkins, I deny them blatantly.”
Mirza later said, she just uses Bio-degradable napkins as they don’t leave carbon footprints. They also can be destroyed 100% naturally. She ended her speech saying that women should use the secured biodegradable napkins.
