Congratulating his party workers for a giving a tough fight to BJP in the recently concluded assembly elections in Gujarat, Congress president Rahul Gandhi today said that he is confident that his party will form the next government in the state.
He also hinted that certain people within the party worked against the party during the Gujarat elections and promised that action will be taken against them.
“Ninety percent of the people fought together and made efforts with the Congress in the election, but 5-10 percent didn’t help. The party will be taking action against them”, he said.
Rahul, who was recently appointed as the President of the Congress party, said that the assembly elections saw the emergence of a new leadership in Gujarat and added that it will form the next government in the state.
The Congress leader added that his party lost the Gujarat polls because of the malicious campaign by BJP to defame the Congress party for the last 20 years.
