Radiation from cell phones or mobiles has always been a health concern, even though none of the research so far has categorically stated that low levels of radiation emitted from personal electronic devices pose a threat to the human body.

Recently, the California Department of Public Health came out with fresh guidelines on cell phone radiation, cautioning it may be dangerous.
Amid such concerns, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday displayed one possible way to safeguard oneself from such radiation.

Javadekar was today spotted in Parliament complex using a landline-receiver attached to his mobile phone.
ANI reported that Javadekar was seen using the purple landline-receiver to attend to calls on his cell phone.
The minister willingly gave photographs to the landline-receiver when he came to Parliament to attend the Winter Session.
He, however, did not spell out the reason why he was carrying the fancy prop.
