When the Yellow Army will meet Bengaluru FC on New Year’s Eve, nothing less than three former players of the Blues will be seen wearing the yellow dress in one of the most expected encounters in the ISL seventh Edition here in Kochi.
While such a reunion won’t be a first in ISL, the fights between the fan groups of these two clubs have made the fixture a must-win for both teams. And that’s extra pressure on CK Vineeth, Rino Anto, Siam Hanghal and Sandesh Jhingan, who have played more than a handful of games donning the blue jersey in I-League, the country’s first division football league from where Bengaluru FC made the jump earlier this season.
Both the teams will be hoping nothing less than a victory, especially Kerala Blasters who would love to continue their momentum after a victory and a hard-fought draw in their last ISL fixture. But it won’t be easy for the Yellow’s as they will be playing against a team which is captained by none other than Indian national team captain Sunil Chhetri.
But Vineeth’s form gives the Kerala Fans ample hope.
