It is a very strange incident which happened to a family that a 13-year-old boy in Ahmedabad was stabbed to death while protecting his mother from a gang of molesters.
Police on Monday arrested four of the seven accused which included the son of a head constable, Avnishsinh Thakur.
Giving details of the incident, DCP Himkar Singh told Times of India that the accused tried to drag the woman away with them.
“Her shrieks woke up her husband and son who rushed to defend her. Thakur stabbed the boy and he died on the spot due to excessive bleeding,” he said, adding that the woman and her husband suffered injuries.
The family earned living by making brooms and lived on the roadside.
