Horrific road accident in Sharjah : 19-year-old dead, several injured
A 19-year-old Pakistani resident died and three others seriously injured in a horrific accident at Al Arouba street on Tuesday morning.
The vehicle, driven by the deceased, crashed into five other cars parked on the road side, after he hit a cement barrier and swerved off the road.
The Sharjah Police operations room received a call around 6 am about the accident and patrol teams and ambulances were dispatched immediately to the spot. The injured were rushed to the emergency room and the deceased’s body taken to Al Qasimi Hospital’s morgue.
The police stated that the accident was caused due to lack of attention and overspeeding on the driver’s part.
Motorists are urged to follow the road rules, maintain enough distance between vehicles and pay attention while driving especially in the early and late hours of the day.
