One plus 5 is a most waited android phone which become the competitor for Samsung s8 and iPhone 7.OnePlus has had an intriguing rollout for Android 8.0 Oreo on its smartphones this year. The OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, and OnePlus 5 already have the stable Oreo build rolling out, while the latest OnePlus 5T still hasn’t received a beta version, up until now. The company on Wednesday has hinted that an open beta version for the OnePlus 5T will be available soon.
As we mentioned, a tweet posted on the OnePlus Deutschland (German) official Twitter handle mentions that the Android 8.0 Oreo open beta rollout for the OnePlus 5T ‘starts now’. This comes as a breather for OnePlus 5T owners who had been promised an Oreo update at the time of the product launch.
Despite the announcement, there seems to be no open beta update available currently for the OnePlus 5, and there is no timeline regarding its imminent arrival as well. It is, although, a big indication that we might see it rolling out in the near feature.
OnePlus 5T specifications
To recap, the OnePlus 5T is a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone that sports a 6-inch full-HD + (1080×1920 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED display. The smartphone runs OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It is powered by a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM.
The OnePlus 5T sports a dual camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor and a secondary 20-megapixel Sony IMX376K telephoto sensor. The front camera has a 16-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. Backing the phone is a 3300mAh nonremovable battery. The OnePlus 5T also has a new Face Unlock feature alongside a fingerprint sensor.
The OnePlus 5 recently got updated with the latest stable build of OxygenOS 5.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. Earlier, in November, the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T also received with the same OxygenOS 5.0 software update.
