Photos and videos of a girl with a fluffy white puppy are going viral on social media. It is being said that the girl had gone to the Mahakaal temple on New Year’s Eve, and took her puppy along.
The girl was clicked in the temple’s premises, holding her puppy close to her chest. While the puppy she took to the temple was harmless, her entry into the temple with it raises questions on the security overseen by the temple authorities.
The girl, who identified herself as Radhika Kataria from Indore, walked with her puppy named Shadow, past three security points installed outside the Jyotirlinga without being detected by the scanners and personnel frisking the devotees.
On New Year’s Eve, around 50 thousand devotees visited the Mahakaal temple that has three-layer security. It is being said that a family from Indore also reached the temple.

One might even say that it was irresponsible of her bringing a puppy in such a crowded place; if the puppy had fallen to the ground, it might have been crushed by the hoards of devotees visiting the temple.
As soon as the news reached the media persons, who were there covering the New Year’s Eve celebrations, they captured the entire incident.
When the media persons asked her why she was there with a puppy in the temple, she responded angrily, telling them that she found the puppy in the temple premises itself.
A day after a girl walked into Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain with a puppy hidden in her jackets, Ujjain district collector Sanket Bhondve has ordered a probe into the matter and issued directions to issue show-cause notices to the security agency manning the temple.
Bhondve has asked Mahakaleshwar temple administrator Avdhesh Sharma to seek an explanation from the security agency about how the girl could pass through three frisking points and take the puppy to Nandi Hall, near the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
