Pakistan shell-shocked by Indian Army’s reply

In response Pakistan’s firing which killed a BSF jawan, Indian army destroyed Two Pakistan posts. The action took place late on Wednesday. Though media claimed that Pakistan suffered casualties but Indian army refused to give any numbers.

“Our BSF soldier was deployed on forward duty point when Pakistan’s sniper shot hit him yesterday. Border Security Force gave a solid response in which Pakistan’s infrastructure, solar panel and weapons were damaged. Their posts suffered a major loss,” Ram awtar, IG BSF Jammu, told reporters.

Two Pakistani mortar positions were “located, targeted and destroyed by BSF troopers yesterday night only. The coordinated precision fire of BSF troopers silenced Pakistani guns,” a BSF spokesman added.

Earlier today, BSF troops today foiled an infiltration bid and killed an intruder along the International Border in Jammu district.

Troops observed movement of two-three persons along the IB near Nikowal Border Out Post (BoP) in Arnia sector around 0545 hours, he added.

They challenged them and opened fire resulting in the death of one intruder, the BSF IG said adding, the deceased was in his thirties. The other intruders managed to escape.

BSF Jawan Killed on His Birthday in Pakistan Firing

BSF head constable R P Hazra, who was deployed along the International Border (IB) in Jammu, was killed on Wednesday after Pakistan launched unprovoked firing on an Indian post.

Hazra, 50, was severely wounded after Pakistani forces “sniped” from across the border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir at about 4 pm.

Hazra, who hails from Murshidabad in West Bengal, served for about 27 years in the border guarding force. He is survived by a daughter (21) and son (18).

India shares a 3,323-km border with Pakistan, of which 221 km of the IB and 740 km of the LoC fall in Jammu and Kashmir. The BSF guards the Indo-Pak International Border (IB) in the region.
