Indefinite bus strike starts from today in this Indian State
Drivers and conductors of various state transport corporations in Tamil Nadu – TNSTC, SETC and MTC — went on a sudden strike on Thursday evening as talks with transport minister MR Vijayabaskar remained inconclusive. After the talks failed, the unions announced the indefinite strike from Friday.
Representatives from 46 different unions participated in the meeting.
Trade unions demand an increase in wages as per 2.57 multiplication factor so that their basic pay would get revised to Rs 19,500 per month on a par with other state government employees.
