Famous Mollywood stars who landed in Jail

Stars landing in trouble by which the industry got bad name, become very common these days. Janapriyanayakan Dileep also gets jail for actress assault case.

Here’s a list of Mollywood stars who landed in jail:

Dileep

Janapriyanayakan Dileep was arrested after his involvement with the heinous act to assault and threaten a leading actress in Malayalam cinema. He was charged with criminal conspiracy, rape, kidnapping and wrongful confinement.

Sangeetha Mohan

Popular TV and movie actress Sangeetha Mohan was caught in a sex scandal and arrested. The actress was later arrested with charges for drunken driving as well.

Shine Tom Chacko

Famous malayalam actor Shine Tom who garnered great fame through many movies was arrested for possession and use of narcotics. In 2015, the police raided a flat in Kadavanthara where they found 10 grams of cocaine and thus arrested Shine Tom along with four other women.

Sreejith Ravi

Popular supporting role actor Sreejith Ravi was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with minor girls. Probably one of the most demonic acts being an actor whom people always admire. Based on complaints lodged by a few students, their principal filed a FIR and Sreejith was arrested on the charges of exhibitionism.

Dhanya Mary Varghese

Actress Dhanya Mary Varghese was arrested for a fraud worth Rs. 1.3 billion. She along with her brother Samuel and husband John opened a project Samson Builders promising apartments. Upon failure to deliver the said apartments to their clients, complaints were lodged and they eventually landed behind the bars.

Vijayakumar

Famous actor and producer Vijayakumar arrested in 2010 when he cheated people assuring them of Visas to different countries. Not once but twice, he cheated different people on different occasions failing to return their money as well. 

Baiju

The famous character artist Baiju was charged with a case where he assaulted and threatened to kill a businessman in 2005. His licensed pistol was even confiscated and taken into the custody of the State Police Armoury. 

Shalu Menon

In 2013, Shalu Menon was arrested by the Kottayam Police in connection with a cheating case. The complaint was filed by a resident from Manacud that Shalu Menon along with another person apparently took Rs. 25 lakhs for a solar project and duped him.
