Abu Dhabi raffle: Jackpot winner can’t believe his luck

Winning a raffle needs luck, lots and lots of it. And this man seems to have it in plenty, with Lady Luck sitting on his shoulders.

The year 2018 has proved to be lucky for Indian expat Harikrishnan V Nair. He has just won Dhs 12 million in the  Abu Dhabi Duty-Free’s Big Ticket Millionaire Draw held in Abu Dhabi today.

This is the biggest prize money ever offered by the Big Ticket raffle draw.

An excited Harikrishnan first could not believe his good fortune when the official broke the good news to him over the phone immediately after the draw.

“Is it true? I cannot believe it,” said Harikrishnan who lives in Dubai.

The Big Ticket ‘Dream 12’ competition ran through December.

Apart from the grand prize, six more draws totaling Dhs 450,000 were up for grabs. The second prize of Dhs 100,000, third Dhs 90,000, fourth Dhs 80,000, fifth Dhs 70,000, sixth Dhs 60,000 and seventh Dhs 50,000  ensured an awesome start to the New Year for lucky few. The ‘Dream 12’ Big Ticket Draw is the highest-ever valued draw in the region to be held over a one-month period.
