Soon after the launch of the Micromax Bharat 5 earlier last month, Bharat 5 Plus is now seen listed on the company website. Not only the 4G smartphone listed on the website, the specifications of the phone have also been revealed by the company. For Bharat 5 Plus — much like the Bharat 5 — Micromax is vouching on its massive 5000mAh battery. The price of the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus is yet to be revealed, and the company is expected to confirm it in the days to come.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the key highlight of the Bharat 5 Plus — as claimed by the company itself is its battery setup. The 4G smartphone comes with a massive 5000mAh and Micromax claims to offer 21 hours of standby time. The device also has a OTG support.
On the display front, the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus sports a 5.2-inch HD with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The screen of the phone is further protected with a 2.5D curved glass. Micromax claims that the Bharat 5 Plus screen offers a “superb picture quality and high contrast ratio” which will enable users to “enjoy movies, games, videos and more like never before.”
Coming to the hardware front, the Plus variant of Bharat 5 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor which comes coupled with 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16GB which is further expandable by up to 64GB via a microSD card.
On the camera department, the Bharat 5 Plus features an 8-megapixel rear camera sensor with LED flash, while on the front the phone includes a 5-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The rear camera comes along with a couple of camera modes including — Panorama, Time Lapse, Watermark, Beauty Mode, Bokeh effect and more. While, the front camera comes along with a portrait mode and an 83.3-degree wide-angle lens.
In terms of connectivity options, the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus comes along with 4G VoLTE support, and the usual standard options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The price of the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus is yet to be official, chances are that the company may do so in the days to come. Meanwhile, the homegrown company launched the predecessor of the Plus variant — Bharat 5 — in December 2017 at a price tag of Rs 5,555. Possibilities are, Bharat 5 Plus may also come at the similar price segment, almost.
