Moto G5s Plus receives a price cut of Rs 1000

One of the most overwhelmed smartphones of the year 2017, Moto G5s Plus has received a price cut of Rs. 1000. The Lenovo-owned Motorola has announced that on the occasion of New Year the company is offering discounts to its customers.

The smartphone has made its debut with a price tag of Rs. 15,999 and it will be now available at Rs. 14,999 in Blush Gold and Lunar Grey colour variants. Like earlier, the Moto G5s Plus smartphone will be exclusively sold via Amazon India and Moto Hub stores.

Talking about the device, the Moto G5s Plus smartphone is known for its dual camera setup at its rear. It features two 13-megapixel of sensors, one of taking the shots and the other one is for measuring depth. The dual camera setup comes with an f/2.0 aperture, depth editing software, and colour correcting dual-LED flash. On the front, it bears an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens, and an LED flash. The phone is eligible to click decent portrait snaps.

Besides the camera, the highlighting features of the handset are a metal unibody design, a water-repellent nano-coating making splash-proof, and ships with a TurboPower charger for fast charging. The smartphone is fueled by a 3000mAh of battery

 

Running on Android 7.1 Nougat, the Moto G5s Plus smartphone is powered by a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage of 128 GB via a microSD card. The handset also flaunts a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

As far connectivity concerned, the Moto G5s Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor.

Recently the smartphone has received firmware updates that would enable the users to record high-quality audio while using the video recording function of the smartphone. This update would also enable the user to patch a few other issues and bugs that were detected post-release. It would ensure smooth functioning and a stable firmware at the heart of the device.

The update has been rolled out to users as an Over-the-Air (OTA) update, i.e. the software update would be available to the users depending on their carrier. Waiting for some time to get the update on your phone could be a way as the system would notify the user via push notifications, but if you would like to do it manually there’s also a way to do that. You would need to go to the About device options in the settings of the device and tap on the Software updates options.
