Former Indian captain Saurav Ganguly has advised Indian team to be patient before the eve of the second test vs the proteas.Ganguly said that it is difficult yet not impossible to survive on foreign soil without knowing about the art of patience. He said that batsmen cannot change the course of the game from the first ball and they need to apply themselves.

He said that the pitches in South Africa are entirely different from what the Indian batsmen are used to in the subcontinent. He also made the point of if any one or two batsmen stayed in the crease and built a partnership, then the match would be in India’s hands. Ganguly said that if batsmen know about the art of survival, then it would be easy for them to make results in their own way. The second test against the Proteas starts on Saturday.
