CPI(m) leader d raja has denied the allegations of giving a political color to the press conference conducted by the judges on Friday. Raja said that there was no political agenda in meeting justice chelameshwar on Friday.
“I have known Justice Chelameswar for a long time. When I came to know of the extraordinary step taken by him and other judges, I thought must I meet him. I am not giving it political color,” Raja said. Raja said that the actions that are committed by the judges have raised concerns over everybody.”These are concerns for everybody, it is about future of country and democracy,” Raja said
This was the first time in the history of independent India that the judges addressed the media with the likes of Justices Madan B. Lokur, Kurien Joseph, Ranjan Gogoi and JastiChelameswar addressed the press conference on the lawns of Justice Chelameswar’s official residence with a plea seeking to restore the pride of the institution.
