Political agenda in judge’s briefing to media: RSS leader

A top RSS leader has claimed about a political plot behind the much-debated press briefing on January 12. He said “they have done is unforgivable’ because ‘they have tried to attack the uncompromising faith of the people in the judicial system’’.

He has accused the four judges of ‘poisoning the waters’ and also suspected that the civic assault adjacent to the CJI came after his array to revive cases 1984 anti-Sikh riots and accused Kapil Sibal was pulled up looking for postponement of the Ayodhya title suit case.

“All these (developments) and Left leader D Raja’s visit to (the house of) one of the Justices, who addressed the press conference, indicate a perfect political conspiracy behind this. The timing was critical,”  Nandakumar, whose Twitter handle introduce him as National Convenor of Prajna Pravah and RSS All India Executive Committee Member, however, said he is not endorsed to speak for the RSS.

Justice Mishra said “The temple of justice cannot be destroyed by a group of people. Please proceed, whether it is contempt. No one should be allowed to destroy the top institution. “We will not allow the institution to be destroyed by anti-national people,”

The legal representative did not identify whether he was in quest of the action against the four judges. The bench chose not to mention on the submissions and go ahead with the mentioning and other listed cases.
