Padmavat controversy : Will blow up cinema halls that show ‘Padmaavat’ , warns Kshatriya Mahasabha
The All India Kshatriya Mahasabha Yuva has warned that they will blow up cinema halls if theaters in Uttar Pradesh showcased Padmaavat upon the release. Despite of the fact that Padmaavat has gotten a clean chit from the Censor Board of Film Certificattion and Honorable Supreme court has lifted the ban on release from four states.
State President of organisation Bhuvneshwar Singh and General secretary Sukhbir Singh have issued the statement of their radical and violent protests against the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial epic Padmaavat, which is not even a historical anymore but based on a piece of fiction.
Warning that the country would face a ‘civil war like situation’ if ‘Padmaavat‘ is allowed to release, the outfit asked the Centre to bring an Ordinance to stop the release of the film.
“We will meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to seek a ban on the release of the film on January 25 by bringing an Ordinance in view of the Supreme Court order or be ready to face consequences in 2019 Lok Sabha polls,” the outfit said.
Both the leaders appealed to all Kshatriya MPs and legislators to resign and support their fight against the release of the film which will cause an irreparable damage to their pride.
“Our fight will be from streets to Parliament. We will boycott and oppose kshatriya MPs and legislators in next elections if they did not oppose the release and resign,” they said.
The Yogi Adityanath government in the UP has said that it is committed to maintain law and order.
Padmaavat is based on the 16 century sufi poetry of Malik Mohammad Jayasi by the name of Padmaavat which was written 200 years after the believed existence of Queen Padmini of Chittorgarh who committed Jauhar when Allaudin Khilji won the war against Maharawal Ratan Singh in order to protect her pride as the soldiers of Allaudin Khilji were known to rape women and loot the cities they conquered and Padmini took the charge in her hands for the female population and all the ladies including her set themselves on fire as soon as Khilji started to march towards the fort of Chittorgarh.
