All India Traders Body announces 48 hour Bandh to protest against sealing drive
A 48 hour Delhi Bandh has been announced by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) as a mark of protest against the sealing drive being carried out by the civic authorities in the National Capital.
The bandh will be observed by about 7 lakh traders who will close their shops from February 2 to February 3.
Traders association will hold a meeting with the representatives of the Delhi Government on Sunday morning to raise the issue.
“The bandh has been called by the CAIT. The traders have demanded the Union government bring a bill in the current session of Parliament to protect Delhi trade and traders from the onslaught of sealing,” the traders’ body said in a statement.
During the bandh, all wholesale and retail markets of Delhi will be closed.
