Ace Kannada actor Chandrasekhar,63 died on Saturday. He was in Canada.His daughter Tanya, based out of Bengaluru told the media that her father had suffered a massive cardiac arrest.
He is popularly known as ‘Edakallu Guddada Mele’ Chandrashekhar.Chandrashekar had made his on-screen debut as a child artist in Namma Makkalu in 1969. It was the success of his film Edakallu Guddadamele, directed by Putanna Kanagal in which he played the lead role, which cemented his position in Kannada film industry.

After his marriage, Chandrashekhar moved to Canada and started working with the Indian High Commission as a visa officer.
He had acted in over 40 films to date and his last film ‘3 ghante, 30 dina, 30 second’ is ready for release. Another film ‘Raju Kannada Medium’, in which he acted in is running in theatres now.
Chandrashekhar made his debut as a director with Poorvapara, which became the first Kannada movie to be screened at Toronto Film Festival.
