Narendra Modi to address Indian community at the Dubai Opera
The Indian community reception with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to take place at the Dubai Opera on Sunday, February 11 at 9:30am, officials at the Indian Consulate in Dubai have confirmed.
Consul General of India to Dubai Vipul told that 1,800 people are expected to participate in the event at the opera. A live link to the ground-breaking ceremony of the Hindu temple in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi will also be broadcasted during the event at Dubai Opera.
The ground-breaking ceremony for the temple is being organised by the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan (BAPS) Swaminarayan Sanstha.
However, Vipul said that the PM may not be present at the ceremony in Abu Dhabi, but would instead address the Indian community in Dubai. It was reported earlier that the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi will come up on 20,000 square metres of land at Al Wathba.
Earlier this month, Modi was announced as the guest speaker for the sixth World Government Summit scheduled to take place from February 11- 13. The three-day annual event will also see India as the guest country.
