South Africa has received a major blow ahead of the second ODI and Twenty20 International series.
Their captain Faf du Plessis have been ruled off the remaining of the series due to a finger injury which he sustained during the first ODI in Durban which was won by India by 6 wickets.
On further assessment, the finger injury turned out to be a fracture.

Farhaan Behardien has been called up as a replacement, while Heinrich Klaasen has been called up as a reserve wicketkeeper. The captain for the remaining of the ODI series will be announced today.
The absence of Du Plessis and AB de Villiers, the star batsman will severely dent the chances of South Africa in these upcoming high-profile matches.
The 33-year-old Du Plessis will undergo a period of rest and rehabilitation in order to be fit for the first Test against Australia, set to begin on March 1 in Durban. The fracture is expected to require 3-6 weeks to heal.
