Textbook mentioning Zakir Naik lands school in Trouble; Probe ordered

The controversial preacher Zakir Naik who is facing criminal probe in India, his name has yet again triggered problems, this time for a school. According to a tip-off from a source,
basic Shiksha Adhikari of Bijnor sent out a team for a probe in a school in Dhaki village of Bhijnor in Uttar Pradesh and found that the name of Zakir Naik has appeared in a textbook which is a part of the school syllabus.

This is a private run government recognizes school. Since the officials have found the allegation to be true, they have served a notice to the school. He is facing multiple cases allegations Bangladesh said that Naik’s sermons had triggered terror attack in Dhaka in July 2016.The investigation agencies in India have even searched many of the institutions run by Zakir Naik in India.

BSA Mahesh Chandra said, “On Friday, a team led by block education officer Shiv Kumar was sent to the village and found that a book named ‘Ilm Un Nafe’ was being taught to the kids of Class II. However, no copy of the book was found in the school. Later, the probe team questioned the owner of the school. He said that a book was being taught to the students of class II in which there was a chapter on Naik. But when he came to know about the row, he withdrew the book.”
