Major Aditya’s father has moved to supreme court to quash the FIR lodged by the Jammu and Kashmir police against his Son in relation to the Shopian Firing.
Lieutenant Colonel Karamveer Singh who filed plea through Advocate Aishwarya Bhati says that his son was only performing his duty under an extremely hostile atmosphere in the sate.

Major Aditya, who is with 10 Garhwal Rifles, was named in the FIR that was filed after three civilians were killed when the army fired at a group of protesters in Shopian on January 27.

The petitioner also demanded that the rights of the soldiers be protected. And that no soldier should be harassed for performing his duties.He also demanded FIR against those who involve in Terrorist activities which bring great loss to the state.
