Vidya was at the Mumbai airport, returning from a trip, when a fan got too close to her. He ended up accidentally touching her, while attempting to get a good picture with her. Understandably, Vidya was quite annoyed.
Vidya is known for taking a bold stand on any matter within and outside the film world.

Most of her fans say that she was right in admonishing the man for his misconduct at a public place. They say that though there is nothing wrong in taking a selfie, doing it without respecting someone’s privacy was not quite right.
