Ranveer Singh has amazed audience by portraying the role of Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. His performance was unanimously praised as his performance overshadowed performances of Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. Padmaavat has now crossed 200 crores at the box office.
Now Ranveer has hiked his remuneration. He has now set his asking price at Rs 13 crore, to match his girlfriend Deepika Padukone’s. Deepika was paid more than Shahid and Ranveer for Padmaavat.

A close source from the film fraternity revealed “Hikes are the order of the day when you deliver a box office hit. Ranveer will command this price now. Had this film released all over India, his asking price would have been bigger too. As for Deepika, she charged the price since she allotted lot more days for the film, as compared to a movie that otherwise takes only 60 days of shoot. Her price for other films as Rs 13 crore now after Padmaavat stands vindicated too.”
He has some interesting films in his bank. He is currently shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, in which he will play a rapper. Then he will start working on Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’, which promises to be an out-and-out action entertainer. After that Ranveer will plunge into Kabir Khan’s 83, which tells the story of the Indian cricket team’s victory in the World Cup in 1983.
