Sai Pallavi first came into public attention for her role as Malar in the Malayalam film Premam which was a blockbuster success. She was then cast alongside Dulquer Salmaan in the film Kali. She made her Telugu debut playing the role Bhanumati in the romantic film Fidaa, co-starring with Varun Tej, which was a commercial and critical success. Her role and the way she portrayed it was lauded and applauded by all Quarters.
The news about Sai’s hike in her pay comes close on the heels of a slew of controversies surrounding her; including her late arrival on the sets, her irritable behavior and so on. She is charging Rs 1.5 crore for a film now.
She is now waiting for the release of her next film Karu directed by A L Vijay. A Suriya-Selvaraghavan project and Mari-2 are her other new films.
