Ranveer doesn’t mind doing a Bisexual character

Bollywood star Ranveer Singh who is riding high on the success of his recent release Padmaavat is looking forward to doing more diverse characters.

The actor who opened about his excitement about the success of the film also revealed that he does not mind doing a bisexual character.

Ranveer, who made his debut through the movie Band Baaja Baaraat, essayed the role of Emperor Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat. Since the release of the film, the actor has been receiving compliments from all parts. The film which also stars Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

The actor said that he was initially shocked and taken aback by the protests and violence against the film. However, the actor claimed that he was able to keep calm and intended not to make things worse by reacting against the protestors.

The ever-energetic Ranveer also expressed his wish to experiment with his characters. He admitted that he does not have any apprehensions in playing a role that portrays bisexuality. The open-minded actor even went on record saying that he believes that Section 377 pertaining to homosexual activities must be removed.  He, in fact, expressed his wish to do a bisexual character.

Ranveer who is currently shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gulli Boy with Alia Bhatt acknowledged the importance of writers in the film industry and praised them for bravely introducing unique and divergent topics in films.
