Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his entourage turned away from a Hotel in Karnataka when they approached the hotel for rooms!

One might think that while being in a position like that of Prime Minister one can have accommodation anywhere he/she think. But one will have to rethink it. Because when the iconic Lalitha Mahal Palace was approached for booking a room for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they had to turn them away as all the rooms were already booked for a wedding reception. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his entourage were to visit Mysuru for a two-trip from February 19-20.

“An official from the deputy commissioner’s office had visited us to book rooms for the Prime Minister and his staff, including security personnel, but we were not in a position to do so as most of the rooms were booked for a wedding reception,” the hotel General Manager Joseph Mathias told news agency.

There were only three rooms left as other were already booked for a wedding reception. But since the rooms were needed not only for PM but also for his security personnel, the hotel had to turn them away owing to the security reasons.

Later another hotel was booked for the PM and his entourage. He stayed at Hotel Radisson Blu overnight and Monday.

Even at Radisson, the hotel was asked to reschedule the wedding reception of a businessman’s family due to security issues, so that it concluded before the prime minister arrived.
