Priyanka Chopra the most wanted actress of Bollywood is in trouble. She is that much bold enough to show her glamour at any point. Undoubtedly She is one among the proudest actress who made her own signature in Hollywood. She is known for her work in the show, The Quantico.
But here comes the actual trouble now Congress leaders want her to be removed as the brand ambassador of the state. They feel her photos on the New Year calendar printed by Assam Tourism shows her “inappropriately dressed”.
Assam Tourism released a calendar with photos of the Bollywood actress. A few Congress leaders were not happy with what Priyanka was wearing in the photos. They felt that her ‘minimal clothes’ will not depict the state’s culture in the right sense and will bring a bad name to Assam. They felt that she should have worn the traditional mekhela sador for the calendar instead of a “frock”. Failing to do so has resulted in demands of her removal as the brand ambassador of the state. According to reports, Congress members Rupjyoti Kurmi, Roseline Tirkey and Nandita Das are at the forefront of this demand.

Jayanta Malla Baruah, Chairman of Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) said “Priyanka Chopra is an international figure and her presentation in the calendar has not diminished Assam’s culture in any way,” he added.
This is not the first time she appears in these controversies, she came under the spotlight when the Nirav Modi fraud broke, as the actress is the brand ambassador for the embattled brand. Even last year, she was dragged into an unnecessary row when she met India Prime Minister Narendra Modi wearing a western dress. Many people trolled her for “showing legs”. But she gave them a befitting response.
