Rahul Gandhi asks Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak up about Nirav Modi

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday over the latter’s silence on the PNB scam and Rafale deal. Mr Gandhi said that he
is looking forward to the “sermon” of the Prime Minister on the two controversial issues in his programme, “Mann Ki Baat”.

According to the Congress chief, the PM’s programme which is aired on All India Radio is a monologue and the whole of India wants to know what the Prime Minister has to
say about the billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi and the Rafale scam.

Rahul Gandhi blamed the PM for protecting Nirav Modi who fled the country once the scam was revealed. He said that the Modi government provided enough support and protection for the billionaire which allowed him to flee the country.

Mr Gandhi also asked the Prime Minister tell the nation about the government’s plan on stopping rapes, getting the Chinese out of Doklam and providing jobs for the youth. He also carried his attack to the central government by accusing it of actively taking part in corruption through their help to bank-loan defaulters such as
Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi.

Rahul Gandhi further criticised the government by saying that the government is not only unable to stop corruption but also takes an active part in it. According to him, the government is only able to provide fear, hatred, violence and unemployment instead of giving hope, security and economic growth.
