There are many dream combinations that film lovers from Malayalam and Tamil love to see. One such combination is that of the ‘Complete Actor’ Mohanlal and maverick director Mani Ratnam. According to latest reports, the two are in talks for a new film after the classic film Iruvar.

It must be noted that the director had earlier approached Mohanlal for his film Kadal but the actor rejected the film owing to his tight schedule. Mani Ratnam is currently helming with multi-starrer film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, starring Arvind Swamy, Silambarasan, Vijay Sthupathy, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aditi Rao Hydari and Aishwarya Rajesh in major roles. The film is reportedly a police-gangster film.
On the other hand, Mohanlal will be reuniting with his Iruvar co-star Prakash Raj in the next schedule of his film Odiyan directed by V Sreekumar. It is also reported that the veteran actor has finished shooting his portions for Ajoy Varma’s Neerali and the cameo portions in Kayamkulam Kochunni.
