The lady superstar of Indian films- Sridevi has passed away. Let’s take a look at the final moments of the diva.
THE FINAL MOMENTS OF SRIDEVI
India’s first and most iconic female superstar Sridevi was getting ready for a dream dinner date with her husband Boney Kapoor in Dubai before she reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest at their hotel room and died on Saturday evening. According to a source close to the family, Kapoor flew back from Mumbai and went to her room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel around 5:30 pm to “surprise” her with dinner.
He woke her up and the couple chatted for about 15 minutes before he invited her for dinner. The Chandni-fame star then went to the washroom. After 15 minutes passed and Sridevi did not come out, Kapoor knocked on the door to check on her. When he got no response, he forced open the door to find the legendary actor lying motionless in the bathtub full of water. “He tried to revive her and when he could not, he called a friend of his. After that, he informed the police at 9 pm,” said the source.
The police and paramedics rushed to the site, but she was pronounced dead. Her body was taken to the General Department of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor were in Ras Al Khaimah early last week to celebrate the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah. Boney Kapoor had returned to Mumbai after the wedding but decided to come back to ‘surprise’ his wife.
The autopsy was completed on Sunday evening and the body is expected to be flown back to Mumbai today.

SRIDEVI’S BODY TO BE FLOWN IN
In a moving gesture, Indian industrial magnate Anil Ambani has sent an aircraft to Dubai to bring back Bollywood actress Sridevi Kapoor’s body to India later, sources said.
The 13-seater private jet, (Embraer-135BJ) belonging to Reliance Transport & Travel Ltd, left Mumbai for Dubai around 1.30 pm on Sunday.
“It is expected to return with the body and the immediate bereaved family members late tonight,” the sources added.
However, Sridevi’s body is yet to be released by officials at the forensics department.
Family members and well-wishers are waiting outside the premises. One reason for the delay in releasing the body could be that office hours are now over.
The funeral is likely to take place on Monday, although there is no word from the family on this so far.
Sridevi, 54, passed away in Dubai late on Saturday night, plunging the entire country into a pall of gloom as her fans and admirers expressed shock and disbelief.
