In a tragic incident that took place in the Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh, six youth were run over by the train.
The incident occurred in Pilakhua district and the youth were listening to earphones while loitering on a railway track.
The victims of the incident were daily laborers and painters. They were supposed to board a train from Ghaziabad for a painting contract in Hyderabad. But unfortunately, they missed that train thus returned to Pilakhua a little after midnight.

As per the eyewitnesses, the victims were visibly disturbed and were walking dangerously close to the railway track.
While 6 were dead on was admitted to the hospital critically injured. The six victims were Salim, Arif, Sameer, Akash, Rahul and Vijay who were run over by a train engine on a `shuttling` duty.
Following the incident, an angry mob came protesting but were pacified by senior officials after which the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
