The counting for the two assembly polls from the state of Madhya Pradesh is going at a brisk pace. Bypolls for Mungaoli and Kolaras were held Saturday – February 24.
Both seats were earlier held by Congress and the election in these seats was necessitated due to the death of Congress legislators.

In Both the seats, there is a direct contest between Congress and BJP.
Altogether, 13 candidates including the Congress’ Brijendra Singh Yadav, BJP’s Bai Sahib are in ray in Mungaoli while 22 candidates including Congress’ Mahendra Singh Yadav and BJP’s Devendra Jain are contesting in Kolaras.
Congress vote share has shrunk compared to the last election even though they are winning at the moment.
As per the latest report, Congress is leading Kolaras seat by 1421 votes while they are leading Mungaoli seat by 121 votes at the end of counting in the third round.
