Billionaire Nirav Modi has sent an email to the Central Bureau of Investigation refusing to join the latter’s investigation into an alleged fraud involving his companies and the Punjab National Bank.
Earlier, the CBI had sent an email to Mr Modi demanding him to join the investigations. However, the jeweller replied that he has some business abroad and will not be able to join the investigations.

Later, the central agency wrote back to Mr Modi asking him to contact a nearby Indian embassy immediately so that he can be taken back to the country. It has made clear that it is mandatory that he should appear before the CBI and join its investigations.
As of now, the CBI has no idea regarding Nirav Modi’s current location since he left India in January before PNB reported about the fraud.
