Rita Moreno, the legendary actress gave us some serious fashion goals at the Oscars red carpet as she repeated a dress she wore to Oscars way back in 1962 when she won the best-supporting-actress statue for West Side Story.
According to Rita, the iconic vintage dress is made out of one piece of obi fabric with sashes Japanese women use on their kimonos and it was hanging in her closet for 56 years until she decided to recycle it a bit and wear it for the Oscars 2018 ceremony.

The actress styled the five-decade-old dress with opera length gloves, a golden collar, classic round spectacles and a black headband. Apparently, it was Rita’s daughter Fernanda Luisa Gordon, who spilled the beans about the interesting story behind the iconic dress.
