Deepika Padukone, who had been constantly working over the last one year, has reportedly been asked to take it easy by the doctors for the next 3-4 months. The beautiful actress has reportedly been suffering from some serious back problem, which is worsening by the day. The actress’ hectic schedule has taken a toll on her back. Deepika’s year-long shoot schedule for Padmaavat, led her back problems to worsen to a point that the actress can’t take it anymore. She has reportedly been asked to wear a back strap for support and quick healing. This, she will have to wear daily no matter what she does, a report by a leading magazine said.
As a result of her deteriorating health, the shooting of her next film, which happens to be a Vishal Bhardwaj directorial venture, in which she is to play the famous lady don, Sapna didi, has been pushed to a later date till she gets better. Meanwhile, her co-star in the film, Irrfan Khan, is also not keeping too well. While it was earlier detected to be jaundice, the actor has us worried about his latest tweet that read, “Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life-shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will. My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don’t speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week – ten days when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me.” With both of them being under the weather, the shooting schedule of the film has definitely been pushed.
Vishal Bhardwaj’s directorial venture is an adaptation of S. Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai and chronicles the life and times of Ashraf Khan, popularly known as Sapna Didi. Deepika Padukone will be playing the titular role in the film. When a leading daily asked her about the reason behind choosing this film, she said, “Of all the scripts I have heard in the last two years, I’ve been stuck on this one. He (Vishal Bharadwaj) brought this to me first, got me excited and then when I was ready to do it, he had moved on to something else. But, I persisted. It’s the one occasion where I pursued the director to make the film.” Well, we wish Deepika and Irrfan a speedy recovery.
