Congress president Rahul Gandhi faced huge criticism from different quarters for being in Italy on the counting day of Assembly election votes in Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland. But unfazed by Criticism, Rahul Gandhi will be embarking on a three-day foreign tour starting March 8.
He will visit Singapore on March 8-9 and Malaysia on March 10. He is set to address Indian diaspora there and will also hold closed-door meetings with Indian professionals.During his visit to Malaysia, the Congress president will address people of Indian origin living in the country.
Rahul Gandhi is following similar pattern followed by Narendra Modi during his foreign visits. Prime Minister Narendra Modi too addresses Indian diaspora during his foreign visits.

Earlier, the Gandhi scion addressed members of the Indian diaspora in US and Bahrain. In Bahrain, the Congress chief had attended a meeting of Global Organisation of People of India Origin, where members from over 50 countries had participated. Addressing the gathering, Rahul had attacked PM Modi and his economic policies.
This attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the foreign land is often criticised by BJP.
