AIMIM files police complaint against Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Asaduddin Oawasi’s All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has lodged a complaint at the Bazar Khala Police station in Lucknow against Art of Living Founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his statement that India will become Syria if Ayodhya land dispute case was not settled outside the court.
The AIMIM District President Tauheed Siddiqui has lodged a complaint with the police to initiate action against Sri Sri Ravi Shankar for his provocative s statement and a threat to the Supreme Court and Muslims in the country.
The Complaint also charged Sri Sri Ravi Shankar that he was conspiring to create communal violence by provoking the other community against Muslims.
The ASP West V.C. Tripathi said that they have received a complaint and would lodge an FIR after investigating AIMIM allegations against Sri Sri Ravi Shanker.”We have sought video tapes to investigate allegations in the complaint. The FIR would be lodged only after thorough investigation,” said the ASP.
During an interview, the Spiritual Guru had stated that Syria-like situation will prevail in India if the dispute was not settled outside the court and land handed over to Hindus for the construction of Ram temple.
Later in Bareilly, the Art of Living Founder had clarified that his statement was misinterpreted. “I did not mean to issue any threat but had shown my concern only,” he had stated.
His appeal to the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board members to gift the disputed land to Hindus for the construction of Ram temple in lieu of land nearby has further annoyed the community members.
