India coins a new interesting phrase to describe Pakistan at the UN

Soon after giving the title of’Terroristan’ to Pakistan, India has coined yet another phrase to describe its neighbour- “Special terrorist zone’. India modified the term ‘special economic zone’, given to a particular area within a country that has special economic regulations compared to the other parts of the country, to describe its ever notorious neighbour at the UN on Thursday.

India said at the UN that Pakistan is still engaged in providing support for terror. “We urge the Council to call on Pakistan to end cross-border infiltration; to dismantle special terrorist zones, safe havens and sanctuaries, to take verifiable actions, including on terror financing…”, said Mini Devi Kumam who is the second secretary of India’s Permanent Mission at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC). She also countered Pakistan’s allegations regarding human rights violation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Kumam, who accused that Pakistan has been providing safe havens to terrorists, also said, “The real problem in the State of Jammu and Kashmir is terrorism, which has constantly received sustenance from Pakistan and territories under its control.” In 2017, India had mentioned at the UN that Pakistan is now ‘Terroristan’ as it is playing a vital role in promoting and exporting global terrorism. India had also described its neighbour as “the Ivy League of terrorism” due to its supporting nature towards terrorist groups who are trying to destroy India.

The Indian representative also hit back at Pakistans’s allegations regarding human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir by saying that the dubious concern for human rights is coming from a country which has systematically abused and violated the human rights of the people in Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as Pakistan-Occupied-Kashmir.
