Nilgiri Mountain Railway
Hailed as the steepest rail system in Asia, the Nilgiri mountain railway or Toy Train pushes itself through plantations, forests and plains between Mettupalayam and Ooty. Streams, birds and warm sunlight greets you as the train moves at a very comfortable pace that lets you savour the view. Of all the different experiences one can have in Ooty, toy train is among the most recommended.
Tiger Hill.
At the lower end of Doddabetta peak lies Tiger hill, a favourite destination for the tourists to relax. There is a large reservoir on its top and a cave close to it which is believed to have many religious connections. It is one of the more preferred spots in Ooty for adventure lovers as well as it provides an opportunity for trekking.
When it comes to places for visiting, you really get spoilt for choices in Ooty. Emerald Lake, Kamraj Sagar lake, Kalhatti falls, Bison valley etc are only among the few in a long list. Every bit of Ooty is a treat to the eye and a must visit for all.
